Wearing My Heart On My (iPad) Sleeve

This week Logitech invited me to come and try out their new iPad accessory range. They also promised me a manicure and a big plate of muffins.

Naturally, I was there with bells on.

I battled the blustery winds of Shoreditch until I found the Cheeky Parlour, a brand new salon/cafe tucked away from the cold and wafting smells of delicious baked goods. Before I'd even removed my coat I was asked whether I fancied a cheeky blow.

I knew I was gonna like it here.

I was greeted by an absolute babe of a breakfast spread. Fresh fruit, pastries, scones and salmon (as well as said promised plate of muffins) all served on personalised, vintage tableware.

After tucking in and meeting the team, we got down to playin'.

Now, these wont be in the shops for a little while and haven't been seen by many people at all. But seeing as it's you, I'll give you a sneak peek...

As you already know, I'm a big fan of Apple. Of course, my preference would be to have it diced up and baked into a pie or crumble, but I'm also a bit of a geek when it comes to technology.

My iPad might taste slightly less delicious when dunked in custard, but it's still a very important utensil in my life and I like it to look its best at all times.

I was rather fond of this clever little creation, a stylish case-come-keyboard that tucks away in seconds and is totally waterproof. Now, you should know me by now. I'm a clumsy woman who needs all of the electronic based protection she can get. Better still, it came in this beautiful canary yellow colour and would go perfectly with my 'look-at-me-i'm-so-clever-you'd-be-crazy-not-to-hire-me!' skirt. Lush!

After I'd fallen suitably in love and had my fair share of fiddling, it was time to give my fingers a break. I took my stubby looking little hands over to the nail bar where Kirsten worked her magic.

She used the most incredible nail paint which turned the shiny brown base coat matte in seconds. The nail polishes are fairly priced at £7 each and you can check out their selection over on their website. I'm wearing The Feelings Neutral.

Not too shabby, eh?

It was only when I caught sight of myself in a mirror that I realised my error. Spots and stripes were once a thing, right? Crop Top from River Island, Zipper Skirt by Topshop and Necklace from H&M. Lipstick by Bobbi Brown in Bikini Pink.

Weary and dehydrated from all of that pampering, the Logitech team cracked open the bubbles and we sat down for lunch. I was even allowed my iPad at the dinner table.

Bloggers paradise, hello!

I had a great afternoon meeting the team and all of the other bloggers who came along. I left feeling happy, full and most importantly, massively bessoted with my brand new (ok, slightly made over 'vintage') iPad.

As I mentioned earlier, you won't be able to find these cases in the shops just yet. But if you've seen something that's tickled your pickle, post a comment below and I'll let you know when it's being released. 'Tis the season for present buying, after all!

  1. Bubble and blogging? I can't think of anything better :)

The cakes look amazing, I should go to these little cafes more often when I blog. Might not be so good for my waistline though!

    Love the nails!

    1. Thanks doll. Cheeky Parlour is addictive, the treatments (and cakes!) are delish and it's only a two minute walk from Shoreditch High Street tube too - win win! x
